The UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ministry of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure (MinRecovery) have announced the winning communities of the open competition for assessing needs and planning recovery at the local level.

• According to the press service of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine, the following territorial communities were selected to participate in the project among over 100 participants: Bila Tserkva, Bohodukhiv, Valky, Vyzhnytsia, Kuyalnyk, Novovolynsk, Okhtyrka, Pryluky, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernivtsi.

“Communities play a leadership role in recovery processes. One of our main tasks is to help them, regardless of victory, develop and become stronger. They will receive professional support in developing recovery plans, conducting corruption risk assessments, and enhancing the capacity of local authorities to respond to crises, thanks to timely and crucial support from our international partners. Thank you to UNDP in Ukraine and the Government of Japan for their support,” commented Vice Prime Minister for Reintegration of Ukraine – Minister of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine Alexander Kubrakov.

The project’s implementation is supported by the international audit company KPMG Ukraine, with the backing of UNDP Ukraine and funding from the Government of Japan.
