Shmyhal discussed new projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine with the President of the European Investment Bank

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with the President of the European Investment Bank Werner Goyer and his team, during which the parties discussed current and new projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Denys Shmyhal reported this in Telegram.

“A productive meeting with the President of the European Investment Bank Werner Heuer and his team. I congratulated the opening of the EIB representative office in the countries of Eastern Europe with an office in Kyiv. We discussed current and new reconstruction projects. We look forward to their implementation. The government actively cooperates with the EIB in the areas of infrastructure restoration, of energy and heat supply,” says Shmyhal’s post.

The head of the Ukrainian government also thanked the EIB for the financial assistance, in particular for the creation of effective tools for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

“The EIB was one of the first international financial organizations to provide financial support to the state budget in March 2022. In total, the European Investment Bank accumulated more than 7.5 billion euros for our country. We highly appreciate the active role of the EIB in supporting Ukraine,” Shmyhal emphasized.
